Chris Buck

Founder of SCCMF12TWICE.

Lead SCCM Architect/Engineer for various environment all over the world. Primarily focused on reducing complexity of enterprise environments. This also includes migrating customers to the cloud, and to windows 10 with servicing upgrades.

Strong believer in data driven operations. If we can identify problems with analytics, and visualize it to management we can reduce the amount of problems, at the same time improve customers experience, reducing support costs.

I started my journey into automation out of laziness. It started with our desktop support lead telling us we needed to manually install Office 2013 on 250 computers and me downloading a copy of PsTools. I moved on from batch to PowerShell several years ago and haven’t looked back. Don’t even come at me with some VBscript you found online because VBScript was given to mankind by the devil.
Most days, you can find me writing scripts for people in exchange for bottles of reasonably priced Gin or drinking a growler of something local while playing Kerbal Space Program.

Hey!

I am an ‘Enterprise Client Systems Engineer’ who has an odd level of enthusiasm for SCCM, PowerShell, Automation, and SQL as well as many other things. I am always willing to take a bit of extra time (if it isn’t an emergency) to figure out how to do something in PowerShell, shave off a few seconds of run time, make a process easily repeatable, or simply make it look pretty.
